Lebanon: Lying on the East coast of
the Mediterranean sea, Lebanon is
10 452 KM sq.. From North to south it measures around 180 KM
of
coastal shores, and from east to west it measures around 50
KM. Lebanon
is surrounded by Palestine from the South, the Mediterranean
sea from the
west and Syria from both east & north.
> Syria: Situated on the Eastern
coast of the Mediterranean, the country is
surrounded by Turkey, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon & Jordan.
> Jordan: The Hashemite Kingdom of
Jordan is located between Syria,
Palestine, Egypt, Saudi Arabia & Iraq.
Weather
> Lebanon:
The climate can be described as Mediterranean, moderate
climate with mild
rainy winters & long warm Summers. The temperature
varies
from 07c to 35c. The temperature in summer is pleasantly warm, cold
in winter with snow falling at 1000 m altitude
and above.
> Syria: Mediterranean climate,
with a temperature of 32c in Summer, 10c in
Winter & 22 in Fall & Spring.
> Jordan: The climate can be
described as mild. December & January are
raining months. July & August are the warmest months.

obtained from the Consulate at the country of origin. A

(collective) can be arranged by Anastasia travel for a

majority of Lebanese, Syrian & Jordanian people speak French &
English in addition to the native language (Arabic).
Currency
& Banking:

Lebanon:
All
currency exchange in & out of the country is completely free.
Foreign currency can be exchanged at any bank or at exchange
counters
found
in main business areas. The
monetary unit is the Lebanese pound
(ex.$1=1 500 LL).
Bank notes are divided into units of
LL 100.000, LL 50.000, LL 25.000,
LL 10.000, 5.000, LL 1.000, LL 500,
LL 250.
> Syria: The unit of the Syrian
currency
is
Syrian pound (ex. $1=50 SL). Bank
notes are: 500 SL, 100 SL, 50 SL,
25 SL, 10 SL.
> Jordan: The unit of the Jordanian
currency
is Dinar. (ex. $1=0.60 JD). Bank notes are:
20 JD, 10 JD, 5 JD & 1 JD and half JD.
> Egypt: The unit of the Egyptian
currency is pound. (ex $1=3.37 EGP).
Bank notes are: 50 EGP, 20 EGP, 10 EGP, 5 EGP & 1 EGP. |
